At the age of 8, when Kimberley’s dad took her to her first riding lesson, her passion for horses was sparked. Kimberley left school at 16 and started an apprenticeship at Fernhill Riding with Jane Edwards, which continued until she was 19. Kimberley then spent some time working in hospitality whilst still being drawn back to riding/training for clients, on request, usually dealing with ‘problem’ horses.
In 2011, full BHS qualification status was achieved at another respected training centre, Wildwoods under Anthea Chambers and in 2017 Kimberley also then achieved accreditation as a BHS ‘Professional Accredited Coach’.
In 2019 Kimberley became one of the first, and still only a handful of certified Franklin Ball Methods Trainers as well as a Retraining of Racehorses (ROR) trainer.
Kimberley maintains her own continuous professional development (CPD) by competing her own horses as well as attending regular training sessions with other qualified and/or experienced trainers and competitors.
Kimberley is a grassroots trainer she loves to help riders achieve their goals at all levels, whatever they may be, from re-gaining confidence to just get back on their horse after a nasty fall or a long break from riding or for someone simply looking to learning something new, or aiming high and going to Badminton Grass Roots!
Kimberley’s training is delivered in an approachable yet professional style. She has a talent for enabling her students to understand what they are working towards and how to achieve it. Her passion for all things equestrian shines through and she aims for the lesson to end on a positive note with homework to take away.
Kimberley is able to deliver a wide variety of training through all 3 phases; Dressage, Polework, Showjumping & XC including ROR (members can enjoy training subsidies), at her facility in Charlwood, Surrey or she can travel to you (subject to location). She is also happy to ride horses, and indeed ponies, for clients.
Kimberley has an active presence on social media and is often contacted by Equestrian Retailers to be a Partner, Brand Ambassador and Product Distributor.
